I tend to believe that my best writings have been written when i was upset or hurt. Guess what? I’ve been through hell for 2 months with only little moments of peace in between. And when you go through hell, those little moments of piece become priceless, necessary to your survival. Let me tell you how I’ve been surviving lately.

One year ago, I discovered the world of Twitter. Quickly enough some weird guy from Ireland followed me (yeah, doesn’t sound psychotic on twitter). I thought he was weird cause he made podcasts. As many of you know, I’m french and here, podcasts are not as popular as in other countries so I didn’t really know why he was following me (I swear, in twitter language it doesn’t sound this bad). Out of curiosity and because I love Irish people, I started listening to that podcast. It took me a few episodes to get used to their accent but then something happened… I laughed. It then became an habit to listen to their podcast every week.

That’s how I met The Gee and Jay show and so I laughed every week for a year.

A few weeks after that Irish guy had followed me on Twitter, other podcasters started following me.

That’s how I met the guys from The DHead Factor. And I laughed too.

I was entering the world of podcasts. Every week I was waiting for those episodes and sharing them cause I wanted other people to listen and enjoy them too.

I didn’t only discovered podcasts. Thanks to Gavin, I met awesome people. Jabs from The DHead Factor, Angus Doodall and Tommy Royal from The Royal and Doodall Show, Kat Sorens from The Rigid Fist… They became friends but also a part of my life. Cause they’re not just podcasters, they’re funny, nice and smart people. I’m attached to those guys cause they are my weekly fix of humour.

But these past two months, they have been more than that. Sometimes, you don’t find the force to smile anymore to the simple things of life when you used to do that all the time. Well, this bunch of guys always managed to make me smile and even laugh. For a few minutes, I would forget about everything and fall into their crazy universe. Their podcasts were thoser short moments of peace.

I owe this to one and only man… a pissed off man… the Gee man!! So today when I read he was stopping making podcasts, it broke my heart cause without him I would never have listened to podcasts and meet awesome people.

So, thank you Galvin.
